Interactive 3D space who invites players to
travel inside it. That space is divide in two types of worlds: one
constructed by synthetic mechanisms and the other captured from
the real world. The synthetic world makes reference to the new virtual
social areas of relationship and the real world to the old parks
and areas of social relation in the urban public space.
1: In the SYNTHETIC WORLD we are guided by a blue circle while navigating
in an architecture of wire structure. We can control our virtual
direction by moving the platform to its sides. Whenever we
incline the platform to a specific sides with our body weight we
will travel in that direction . The virtual space ha programmed
borders, if the user navigate outside of the programmed virtual
space a warning message will indicate to move in the opposite direction
to return inside the space. Several ambient and 3D sound are incorporates,
helping the interaction and navigation trough the virtual world.
While exploring this synthetic world the user identify by a blue
circle will come across elements with mapped surface. These mapped
surfaces will change colour and emit a sound when touched by the
blue circle. Acting a connection doors, when touch with your finger
the mapped surfaces will allow the user to enter in the captured
worlds.
2 : In the CAPTURED WORLD the user is invited
to travel in 12 different parks of the city of Valencia. Recorded
with a video digital camera equipped with a 360º lens. Introduced
as a sequence, the processed images, show a mapping of the inner
face of a hemisphere. The video images show daily activity in the
dark and the sound correspond to the original recording. Different
view of the parks can be observed by physically inclining the structure.
Our view is pivoted allowing the user to focus on a specific area
and discover the complete space. The center of the image is occupied
by the blue circle, when touch it will bring the user to the synthetic
world.
